Suki Waterhouse has opened up about the emotional struggles she experienced following her relationship with Hollywood actor Bradley Cooper, revealing how heartbreak left her feeling depressed and uncertain about her future.
The 34-year-old singer and actress dated Cooper between 2013 and 2015. Reflecting on that period in a recent interview with The Sunday Times, Waterhouse admitted that her earlier relationships often ended painfully, making her current happiness with fiancé Robert Pattinson feel particularly surprising.
Following the breakup, Waterhouse recalled feeling trapped by the pressures of modelling and public attention. She eventually turned to songwriting as a way of processing her emotions, transforming a difficult chapter of her life into creative inspiration.
The star previously described the experience of going through a highly publicised separation as deeply isolating, particularly while facing comparisons with her former partner’s new relationships.
Today, Waterhouse is enjoying a very different chapter. She and Pattinson share a young daughter, and although their wedding plans remain on hold because of their busy careers, the singer has expressed her excitement about eventually celebrating their marriage with a large ceremony.
Her reflections offer a personal look at how heartbreak, personal growth and motherhood have shaped her life and music.
