The May Fair Hotel: London Heritage with a Contemporary Outlook
Opened by King George V in 1927, The May Fair Hotel has a history that places it firmly within London’s hospitality landscape. Today, its Stratton Street address offers a gateway to Mayfair’s galleries, boutiques and green spaces, with Berkeley Square, Bond Street and Green Park nearby.
The hotel pairs that heritage with a contemporary approach to a city stay. Its rooms and individually styled suites offer a range of settings, including interiors influenced by Art Deco design.
Food and drink are part of its appeal. May Fair Kitchen brings Japanese and Italian cooking together, offering guests two distinct culinary traditions within one restaurant. The May Fair Bar adds a social dimension, serving food and cocktails throughout the day, with live music often accompanying the evening.
For a quieter interlude, the spa offers facials, treatments and thermal facilities, alongside a gym. Event spaces, including the Crystal Ballroom and a dedicated screening room, accommodate occasions from private celebrations to business gatherings.
For visitors who want London’s shopping, dining and cultural life close at hand, The May Fair combines a well-connected location with a character shaped by almost a century of welcoming guests.
