Meghan Markle reportedly fell out with French fashion designer Roland Mouret after an awkward misunderstanding involving the return of complimentary dresses, according to revelations in his new memoir.
Mouret claims that a member of his team mistakenly contacted Kate Middleton’s stylist at Kensington Palace to arrange the return of clothing previously sent to Meghan.
The Duchess of Sussex allegedly felt embarrassed by the incident and told the designer she could no longer wear his creations. The pair had developed a friendship after meeting in Istanbul in 2015, with Mouret later becoming one of Meghan’s trusted fashion contacts.
Despite the reported disagreement, Meghan has continued to appear in his designs, including an outfit featured in promotional content for her lifestyle brand, As Ever, earlier this year.
