Comedian James Acaster has revealed that a dramatic confrontation with Jerry Hall was removed from the BBC’s Celebrity Traitors, despite the exchange almost exposing his secret role in the competition.

Speaking on Alan Carr’s Life’s a Beach podcast, the 41-year-old recalled how Hall approached him directly and accused him of being a Traitor. Rather than denying it, Acaster jokingly suggested she might be right, leaving him surprised when the moment never appeared on television.

The comedian also revealed that several of his contributions during the show’s tense roundtable discussions were edited out, explaining that producers wanted to preserve suspense around the contestants’ voting decisions.

Acaster eventually shocked viewers by admitting he was a Traitor during the penultimate episode, after struggling with the pressure of deceiving his fellow contestants.

His revelations have sparked renewed interest in the behind-the-scenes decisions that shaped one of the BBC show’s most dramatic moments.
