The Happy story began in Varna, Bulgaria, where the first restaurant opened on Christmas Eve in 1994. From those beginnings, the brand expanded beyond Bulgaria, bringing its approach to casual dining to cities including Barcelona and London.

The restaurant has also received recognition on the capital’s dining scene. In 2022, Happy was named Best Restaurant in London at the British Restaurant Awards.
